Come Follow Me Book of Mormon Sketchnotes

I’m excited to be heading into another new month of studying the Book of Mormon. How is your study going? One of the things I love about Come Follow Me is that it’s easy to pick up and keep going, even if we get behind for a week or two. This month we’re finishing up 2 Nephi and heading into the study of Jacob and Enos. T hey both contain some really fantastic stuff. I can’t wait to share sketchnotes for those books!
Each week of March I’ll add to the new sketchnotes below, so check back to grab the new sets! I also share a quick breakdown of the study our family will be doing each week. We keep things pretty simple most days. Just read and discuss, usually. But we also use Drawn In, which is a fantastic resource (Use the code HEIDI10 to get 10% off!)
I create our weekly study from the Come Follow Me Manual and the additional resources in the Ensign.
HOW TO USE BOOK OF MORMON sKETCHNOTES:
TRACE. You can also trace these into your scriptures or journal using a light box or a sunny window. My husband made me an awesome lightbox, but this one is a great option for you to purchase.
COLORING PAGE. Use as a coloring page for your kids to work on during family scripture time. Write additional notes and insights on the pages as you go. You could add all the completed sketchnotes pages to a binder to keep as a reminder of the gospel topics you’ve discussed together.
STICKER PAPER. Print on clear sticker paper and cut apart the doodles to add to your scripture journal or into the margins of your scriptures. (This year I am usinga wide-margin study edition of the Book of Mormon from Line Upon Line. Our family is using their Journaling Edition for our study together as well. But there are so many wide-margin options available! Deseret Book has several great options and you can print this free PDF and have it bound at a local copy shop.)
Printing on clear sticker paper allows you to add color to the doodles using colored pencils, but still be able to see the words beneath them. I have tried out a few different kinds of colored pencils on this sticker paper. Ergosoft pencils and Prismacolor pencils work really well.

Thank you so much for your fun creative sketches. They help me to be more creative and really ponder on specific scriptures. On my unprepared days I tell me kiddos to read my margins for our scripture study:) On a side note, I just read some of your adoption and foster care posts. Love them! We’ve been foster parents on and off for 20 yrs and had many amazing and heartbreaking experiences as well.
Thank you for your time and talents! I’ve downloaded every sketch notes since the beginning of the year 🙂 they give me insight To the Scriptures.
I love your sketch notes! I am a newly called Sunday School teacher and worried what I could do to help the kids in my class while we are all at home. I came across these in my search and was so happy! I printed them on sticker paper and passed them out to my class. Parents have told me the kids have love them as well. Anything to entice us to get into the scriptures is a wonderful thing! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us all!
I am NOT an artist and I certainly appreciate you sharing your talent! Thank you so much!
These are amazing. I love using them to study! Thanks for your time and effort to make them!
Can I tell you how much I LOVE my scripture study this year because of your sketch notes 🙂 Can’t wait to get them every week!
Hi. On the last two posts, the video links are just taking me to the sketchnotes. I really like having the videos in each section with one click. I don’t have to search and go here and there. Thanks for everything 🙂
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll look into fixing that!
Thank you for your weekly sketch notes, I love it so much! I look forward to seeing the new one each week. When will the new one, Mosiah, be up?
Thank you so much!
Hi Ginny! Due to General Conference next week, we have two weeks until the next Come Follow Me lesson. I will have the Easter sketchnotes up at the end of this coming week. And then I think Mosiah is after that.
Glad they are helpful for you! ♥️
