Paper Dolls that go along with Joseph Smith’s First vision and obtaining the plates.
After I released the Nephi’s family paper doll set last month, lots of you asked for a Restoration themed set to use as we prepare for the upcoming Bicentennial General Conference. I’m so grateful you asked, because I was planning on doing this for our Come Follow Me study next year and hadn’t even thought of creating it to use this year.
That’s just another example of why you guys are the BEST! And really, if you have other ideas for printables you’d like me to create, I would love to hear them! Leave a comment below, or email me through the contact page.
So today I have a set of paper dolls focused on the early part of the Restoration: The First Vision and Joseph obtaining the plates.
Included in the First Vision Paper Doll Set:
- Joseph Kneeling
- Backdrop of trees
- Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father
- Clouds of Darkness (representing Satan)
- Bible open to the book of James
- Angel Moroni
- Adult Joseph Smith
- Emma Smith
- Stone Box
- Gold plates
- Man (can be used as a minister, or Joseph Smith Sr. or those who persecuted Joseph)
How to use Book of Mormon Paper Dolls:
Print Book of Mormon paper dolls on cardstock.
Cut out the paper dolls and laminate them if desired (I own an older version of this laminator and LOVE it!)
Use the paper dolls when you tell your children the stories about the Restoration. Let them act out the stories while you read aloud.
Take the paper dolls to church as a way to keep little hands busy during sacrament meeting.
Use them as a visual aid during primary lessons or singing time.
These would also make a great addition to your scripture journal! Print on matte sticker paper and add them to a your scriptures for a beautiful effect.
I’d love to see how you use these! Share a photo and tag me on Instagram!
One great way you can help me is to pin this post on Pinterest or share it on Facebook or Instagram. Your help getting more people to the blog allows me to continue to create awesome resources for your family. Thank you so much!
