Simple, fun and free summer coloring pages are the perfect way to keep kids (or adults!) busy during these last few sweltering days of summer.
This crazy 2020 summer is drawing to a close, but we’re still trying to cram in as much summer fun as we can before the cooler autumn weather sets in.
We’ve made it a family goal to go somewhere with water as often as possible, which means we’ve gone to our favorite lake multiple times in a week recently. Our local park has a sweet little creek running through it that we love to visit after dinner sometimes, just to stick our feet in the water.
I’m a firm believer that if kiddos are grumpy, Just Add Water. Seriously, it helps turn around their attitudes so much. It doesn’t have to be a huge day at the beach either, we just add water frequently just to make it through a few grumpy minutes. It seems especially necessary when I’m trying to make dinner for some reason. Here are a few simple ideas that we use on a regular basis around here:
- Water + measuring cups/spoons so they can practice pouring back and forth
- We have this awesome water table that my littles enjoy a lot
- Splash park
- Go wading in a lake or river or stream
- Play with bubbles and/or water in the sink or bathtub
- Water Beads are awesome, but they take a little pre-planning
I also created a fun ice cream coloring page because honestly, what’s better than ice cream on a hot summer day?
I added a fun little message on this page as well, because I thought it would be an easy, fun way to keep in touch with loved once that are socially distant, or just living far away. They are perfect for little ones to color and send to grandparents or other friends and relatives!
