Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Gathering with family and friends, focusing on gratitude and good food and time together. It’s my happiest day.
I keep a gratitude journal all year long and have for a very long time. But focusing on thankfulness feels extra special during November. I especially try to help my kids find gratitude in the days and weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
I designed this sweet printable gratitude journal as the perfect way to help your us focus on gratitude.
What’s included:
30 Gratitude Journal prompts for kids, featuring different doodles to color for each prompt.
8 printable pages total.
Front and Back covers
How it works:
Purchase the gratitude journal printable here.
Print these pages on cardstock, cut into fourths and bind with ring binders.
Place them in a basket with crayons and/or colored pencils and some autumn stickers and keep them in a place where you'll see the basket daily. Now you have a go-to activity for the days leading up to Thanksgiving!
Do a prompt a day for the whole month of November, or a couple of prompts a day for 2 weeks, whatever works for your family and your schedule.
It would even be a great option to keep little ones busy and happy while you're cooking the Thanksgiving meal.
You'll for sure want to add this keepsake to your memory box and make another one each year. Such a fun and meaningful tradition!

Reading:
Where the Water Goes: Life and Death Along the Colorado River by David Owen Interesting and a little unnerving. This book made me think more than I ever have about where the water we use comes from.
The Appeal by Janice Hallett Really fun set-up; couldn’t put it down. This is such a fun, twisty read. Highly recommend on paper/kindle because of the setup. It’s epistolary and I think all the email headings, etc. would be very annoying on audio.
A True Home by Kallie George Sweet story about courage, kindness and a mouse finding her new home. I read this aloud to my 8- and 10-year-olds and they begged for more every time we read it

In the House/Yard: I’m trying out the chop and drop method for our zinnias this fall and hoping they return without much effort on my part next year. We’ve done this was cosmos for years, so I’m pretty confident it will work out!
