Project Life: August 2014

I am new to Project Life, but I’m totally smitten with this simple way to perserve photographs and memories for our family.  I am joining up with The Mom Creative today to share my most recent Project Life layouts.
My style is definitely simple; no flashy embellishments here. I love to share our stories and photos as efficiently as possible.

One page from Ellie’s February spread, featuring a heavy snowfall, crafts with friends, reading in the sunshine, snacks from our Olympics Study and Ellie’s award-winning haiku.  I asked Ellie to journal her memories and her poem and included her own words in her own handwriting for this page.

Next up is a page about the blanket I knit while we were waiting to adopt Elijah. I included my blog post of the story (here).  One of the photos was the wrong orientation so I trimmed it and added patterned paper behind.

This is probably my favorite spread so far.  One of our Mother’s Day traditions is a “Photo Shoot with Mommy”. I am most often behind the camera, so this is our way to insure that I am in at least a few photos with my kids each year.

I still have so much to learn, but I am definitely happy with our albums so far.
