Art Journaling with Kids: Abstract Tissue Paper Creations
Let me start off by saying that the day we did this project was a grumpy day for most of the family.
Elijah was terrorizing the schoolroom while we tried to work. Ellie and Ethan were bickering. Ethan wanted nothing to do with the the project. Usually when we get started he gets into it, but not this time. He whined and complained the whole time. But, we finished and he moved on and I like to think it brightened his day, at least a little.
Supplies:
Start by spreading a layer of glue over about a quarter of the page. Lay the tissue paper down on the wet glue. You can create design, or go completely abstract. Spread more glue over the tissue paper, until it’s all stuck down to the page. Move on to the next section and repeat until the whole page is completed.
