Christmas Journal Inserts & Embellishments (FREE!)
I find a lot of joy through journaling. And I find a lot of joy from sharing things I’ve created with you. Today is the best of both worlds! A ton of free journaling printables for you!
Generally I take an hour or so per month to set up a whole bunch of pages at once. I use my own journal cards, project life cards, scrapbook paper (this is what I used for these pages), bits and pieces found in magazines or online, or any number of other places (vintage Santa printables found here and here.). I set up the pages and then go back through and journal throughout the month.
Included in this free download:
- 3 coloring pages featuring many, many faith-based Christmas related illustrations: wisemen, a shepherd, an angel, lots of stars, snowflakes, trees, wreaths, etc.
- A hand lettered page for Luke 2:10-11. I’ve included both a full page and quarter page sheet of this one
- A bible journal page I painted for Luke 2, in both a 8×10 and 5×7 size. I watercolored this directly onto a bible page which give it the scripture verses as the background, which I love.
These free printables can be used in a lot of ways. I like to cut out the individual shapes and add them to my journals. Some I color beforehand, some I color as the month goes on and some I just leave black and white.
I painted this Luke 2 watercolor in my bible last year and got a lot of requests for copies. I’m delighted to share a free version with you today. It’s my Christmas gift to you. 🙂
You can print it in color by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
I’d love to see what you make with these pages! Please tag me @a.lively.hope on Instagram so I can see what you’re creating.
If you’re interested in full page versions for these designs, you can also find my full Christmas Hymns coloring book here.

Hi Heidi,
I really enjoyed the Christmas gift tags that you made in 2017. Any chance you might put them back on your website? I loved the trees, but other symbols would be great too!
Thanks for sharing,
Pat
They are still available! You can find them right here!
