I Heart You FREE Print
Hello there! We celebrated my birthday yesterday. It was simple and lovely. Jason re-painted our tiny living room and we’re working on finding new furniture to replace the second-hand chair and loveseat we’ve owned for a decade (they were probably at least 10 years old when we bought them).
Having a birthday early in January is a very interesting issue; I’m never quite ready to celebrate again after just finishing Christmas and New Year festivities. But Jason knows the way to my heart and he’s always ready with perfect surprises: salt and vinegar chips, dark chocolate and a willingness to complete much longed-for home improvement projects.
We even left up our beautiful white Christmas lights on the outside of the house and began referring to them as my “birthday lights”. Something I’ve always wanted to do, but it seemed a little silly. I think it will be a new tradition. Those lights make me so happy.
And now that my birthday is over, I’m ready to jump into my next favorite holiday: Valentine’s Day.
We keep things pretty low-key around here. No gifts or jewelry, no flowers. One of our favorite traditions is these little mailboxes. I found them in the target dollar spot years ago and we pull them out each year, along with a bunch of small papers and pens and we all write each other notes during the month of February.
It’s simple and easy and the kids look forward to it every year.
Today I’ve got a free Valentine’s Day print for your home. I love this sleek and stylish design. It’s simple but makes a big impact.
I’ve included both a pdf and a jpg in both a 8.5×11 and half sheet sizes. You could use the smaller sizes as cards to send to loved ones, or even hang them up on your teenager’s bathroom mirror (that’s exactly what I’m going to do).
Here’s to simple and meaningful traditions!
