This weekend has been full of kids’ sports (a swim meet and a soccer game) and house projects. Now I’m looking forward to our traditional weekly pizza and a movie night and some uninterrupted stitching time. Today’s free pattern would go along really well with the mistletoe pattern I shared yesterday. It would also make a cute addition to a […]
This is one of my favorite patterns of the whole series. I am so pleased with how it turned out and I think it is going to make an adorable addition to our Christmas decor. I stitched the leaves and stems with split stitch, the ribbon with backstitch and the berries with satin stitch. I may need to spread these […]
Today’s free embroidery pattern is a wreath made from two arrows. My six year old son was pretty excited when he saw me working on this. It’s “more boyish”, he said, than the other patterns I usually do. So, there you have it! Boyish embroidery just for you. 🙂 Download the pattern here.
Continuing with the 31 Days of Free Embroidery Patterns, today I’ve got these cute Halloween candies for you! Speaking of treats, my 21 month old is a little obsessed with candy right now. He doesn’t have it often, but one time (ONE time!) I bought him a sucker while we were out running errands. He hates being in the […]
Happy SUN-day, friends! My family and I are hunkering down for another beautiful and uplifting day of LDS General Conference this morning. I’ll probably do some stitching while we watch, as well as a lot of toddler-chasing and doodling lots of notes. I look forward to this weekend every six months and always feel so refreshed and renewed and […]
Today’s free embroidery pattern is a simple wreath. I stitched this using split stitch as the wreath base and the leaves are done using a lazy daisy stitch. This would be so cute to hang in your entryway, or even used as an ornament on a Christmas tree. I love the simplicity of this pattern, but it could easily be […]
I have a slight obsession with pumpkins. I’m not quite sure what it is–the decorating versatility they provide? the delicious taste? the adorableness of a stack of pumpkins on my front porch and filling every available decorative bowl in my house?–but I just swoon over pumpkins. Naturally I had to include some adorable mini-pumpkins in my 31 Days of Embroidery […]
First up in my 31 Days of Embroidery patterns is this simple and beautiful leaf embroidery pattern. I used split stitch to outline the leaf, backstitch for the veins and did one stem in stem stitch (very fitting!) and one stem with satin stitch. I think this pattern would be just lovely in fall colors. Download the pattern here
